Allegrone Companies Celebrates the Opening of CSO’s New Housing Facility in Greenfield

Allegrone Companies is proud to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of Clinical & Support Options’ (CSO) new housing and shelter facility at 60 Wells Street in Greenfield, a transformative project that will provide both emergency shelter and permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness.
The approximately 35,000-square-foot facility includes 36 fully furnished studio apartments and temporary shelter accommodations for up to 42 individuals, creating a comprehensive, trauma-informed environment that combines housing with critical support services. Residents and guests will have access to behavioral health care, addiction recovery resources, case management, nursing support, and housing assistance, all under one roof.
The project represents a major community investment in addressing homelessness across Franklin County. As CSO President and CEO Karin Jeffers emphasized during the ceremony, stable housing provides the foundation for recovery, improved health outcomes, employment opportunities, and long-term success.
Local, state, and federal leaders joined community members to mark the occasion, highlighting the importance of partnerships that make projects like this possible.
Congressman Jim McGovern noted that the facility offers far more than temporary shelter by creating pathways to permanent housing, health care, counseling, and recovery services.
“This new campus represents something really, really special. It’s not just a new building; it’s a new way of helping people rebuild their lives,” McGovern said. “Someone who comes here won’t just find a bed for the night. They’ll find safe shelter and a road to permanent housing, meals, counseling, health care, recovery services and people who believe in them. … This campus will change lives.”
