Allegrone Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of Community Teamwork's New Women’s Shelter
October 20, 2026
Allegrone was proud to join Community Teamwork Inc. (CTI), local leaders, and community partners in celebrating the ribbon cutting of the new Women’s Shelter. After years of planning and development, the facility will provide safe shelter and supportive services for more than 50 women, offering a secure place to begin again.
The ceremony brought together elected officials and project supporters, including Congresswoman Lori Trahan, State Senator Vanna Howard, State Representative Tara Hong, Lowell Mayor Erik Gitschier, Vice Mayor Vesna Nuon, and former State Senator Steve Panagiotakos.
As the construction manager for the project, Allegrone was honored to help bring this vital community resource to life. The project involved the complete rehabilitation of a former industrial building, transforming it into a modern shelter designed to support both immediate and long-term needs. The facility includes safe and comfortable living accommodations, gathering and dining areas, counseling and support spaces, administrative offices, and essential building upgrades that ensure a secure and welcoming environment for residents.
Projects like the Lowell Women’s Shelter reflect Allegrone’s commitment to building spaces that create lasting social impact. While every construction project has a unique purpose, this facility stands out for the profound role it will play in supporting vulnerable members of the community and helping women access the resources they need to move forward.
