Yaddo Mansion

Yaddo was the country estate of the Trask family and was built in the 1890’s as a Queen Anne Revival Mansion. Allegrone is performing a comprehensive stone cleaning and repointing effort. The stone porte-cochere was dissasembled, a new concrete foundation was formed, and the entire structure and stone stair assembly was relaid in its original layout. All windows and stained glass windows were removed and shipped offsite for restoration. Temporary window enclosures were installed to provide a weather tight and secure environment. After the windows were disassembled, stripped, repaired, reassembled, glazed and painted they were returned to the site and reinstalled. The slate and metal roofing system has been removed and replaced with new matching materials. Work was performed while the building was used by visiting guests.
