On July 20th 2013, Allegrone was proud to be a part of “A Blue Steps 75th Anniversary Celebration.” The celebration was to benefit the restoration of Naumkeag’s famous blue steps.
This restoration project is something that Allegrone is intimately involved with. Last spring The Trustees of Reservations hired Allegrone to act as construction manager for a 5-part restoration project at the historic Naumkeag property.
Part 1, of the restoration project included masonry repairs and the restoration of the Linden Allee Fountain, The Great Seat, the Brick Runnel, the Evergreen Garden and last but not least The Blue Steps. Read more about phase one here >>.
Allegrone also completed a roof restoration on the Naumkeag building, which involved steaming and bending the shingles to match the curved shape of the roof-line. In time the shingles with weather to a silvery grey color and become naturalized.

The gala was a wonderful celebration of the completion of phase one and featured the music of Eli’s Gershwin Constellation.
