Progress Update: Naumkeag

In order to work through the cold winter months, Allegrone Construction has built a weather shield around the afternoon garden at Naumkeag. This enclosure allows the restoration and rehabilitation work to continue, and keeps things from freezing up.

The Trustees of Reservations hired Allegrone to act as construction manager for a 5-part restoration project at the historic Naumkeag property. Part 2 has begun with the restoration of The Afternoon Garden. The Afternoon Garden is the first project that Mabel Choate worked on with Fletcher Steele in 1929.
