Every story about a green building is a story about people. LEED buildings have a direct impact on the people who eat, live, work and play in them: these high-performing buildings boost the health, productivity and happiness of millions of people across the globe.

Leaders across the globe understand that LEED is a powerful market tool that works. Every story about a LEED building is a story about leaders. These leaders recognize that LEED enhances a company’s triple-bottom line, helps organizations manage their business operations and creates a more sustainable, energy-efficient built environment.

They also recognize that in addition to the economic value these buildings present, LEED is a tool for improving the health, comfort and wellbeing of a company’s employees, visitors, customers and larger community. By certifying their buildings to LEED, leaders across the world are committing to building healthier, more sustainable communities where buildings perform at a higher level and human health is prioritized and enhanced.

Through my international trips, I have met a variety of leaders who understand the value of LEED and whose exceptional vision is transforming the market. Recently, I had the privilege to meet with Mr. Tingyue Wang of Jiaming Investment Co Ltd. at USGBC’s headquarters. Created over 20 years ago, Jiaming Investment has flourished in the real estate industry in Beijing under Mr. Wang’s leadership.
