Historic Music School Study

This historic music school study is focused on expanding space and improving functionality through upgrades to the existing buildings and site, as well as the fit‑out of a currently unfinished portion of the existing building. Early feasibility efforts included documenting the project’s goals, needs, program requirements, and anticipated square footage to establish clear parameters. This information informed a collaborative spatial planning process that evaluated room types, sizes, and adjacencies, ultimately resulting in two viable program options. Building code analysis—particularly related to life safety and accessibility—was conducted in parallel to ensure a holistic approach and to support the development of order‑of‑magnitude budget estimates for each option.
