Beacon Cinema

An instrumental component to the revitalization of downtown Pittsfield, the Beacon Cinema project was completed over one month ahead of schedule. Historic architectural dismantle and rebuild. Over 2,000 uniquely shaped, ornate terra cotta pieces were removed. Approximately 1,000 pieces were beyond repair and were fabricated new by a company Gladding McBean in California. The remaining 1,000 pieces were relocated offsite where Allegrone performed several months of repairs. All repaired pieces were returned to the site where Allegrone successfully reinstalled old and new to a seamless and continuous blend of a new facade.
