Description

We're looking for a VDC Coordinator to oversee BIM and digital design coordination across multidisciplinary teams.

  • The VDC Coordinator coordinates BIM and digital design logistics with the design team including coordination with architects, project managers, designers, engineers, and estimators.
  • Maintain and operate point cloud scanning field equipment for documenting building and site existing conditions.
  • Creates and maintains digital architectural and engineering models, including developing existing condition BIM models for project specific requirements.
  • Receives and manages multiple subcontractor models, including solving problems and educating internal and exterior project team members through BIM management.
  • Communicates conflicts in models, both real and potential.
  • Responsible for maintaining, developing, and refining design firm project standards and templates utilized by the design and construction teams.
  • Secondary responsibilities will include drafting within all phases of design including Preliminary, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Document phases.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management (license not required, but certainly welcomed).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with an Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management related firm.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Lieca scanning equipment including model RTC360.
  • Must be able to work both collaboratively as a team alongside architects, designers, and staff as well as independently when required.

Software skills:

  • Proficiency in Autodesk software’s including Revit Architecture is an absolute prerequisite – candidates who do not have at least 3 years experience utilizing the software, including knowledge of manipulating, linking, and managing engineering and point cloud models, will not be considered.  In addition, must be generally familiar with Autodesk Recap and Navisworks.
  • Proficiency in Lieca Reg360 software for processing point cloud scans is an absolute prerequisite – candidates who do not have a least 2 years of experience utilizing the software, including exporting into various file formats and linking into Revit models, will not be considered.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft 365 environment and Adobe softwares including Photoshop. Proficiency in these softwares is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be proficient with Autodesk Construction Cloud and/or BIM360 platform including setting up Revit cloud models, permission settings, folder structure, publishing, and general navigation.
