After a decade of planning, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Beacon Cinema was held on Thursday. Mayor Ruberto, Developer Richard Stanley, and Allegrone Construction’s Jim Culliton were among those on hand for the event.

Hillside Avenue Breaks Ground

The Hillside Avenue Affordable Housing project is underway after breaking ground on August 1st. The 10 unit housing complex is the first newly constructed affordable housing offered in Great Barrington for several decades.
